Accessibility
Shipslecky is designed to be usable across devices and ways of browsing.
Current approach
Pages use semantic landmarks, keyboard-visible focus styles, a skip link, responsive layouts, reduced-motion preferences and text alternatives for meaningful images. The core site works without client-side JavaScript; search adds a small keyboard-tested enhancement while leaving its published links visible if scripting is unavailable.
Verification status
Automated structural, accessibility and responsive checks run in Chromium and Firefox, with WebKit configured in the main-branch build. Lighthouse accessibility budgets cover representative pages and are repeated against production. Manual assistive-technology testing remains an explicitly recorded gap; automated checks do not substitute for it.
